Just bought a used 2007 Toyota tundra 5.7L. The oil that's been used for the life of the vehicle (160k miles) has been 5w-20. The manual calls for either 5w-20 or 0w-20. I want to start using 0w-20 because the manual states it's preferred in cold weather. Would that be a problem switching to 0w-20 considering it's been normally using 5w-20 for 14 years and 160k miles? Also, the truck has a sealed transmission and the manual says it doesn't need to be changed unless it's used for towing or hea... It only does it when the engine is cold. Pretty squeaky when the car first fires up and is idling, and occasionally when I'm accelerating before it's fully warmed up.
